Alyson Howard

Alyson Howard was born in a Modbury, South Devon and spent her childhood in the idyllic surroundings of Devon and Cornwall. From a very early age, Alyson Howard was obsessed with drawing and crafts, captivated by animals, beaches, and nature. Traveling different cultures has a big influence on her work, Alyson Howard has a deep love for Asia, India in particular, the chaos, colour, shapes, textures and, smells; a complete assault of the senses.

Alyson Howard emerged herself fully in to work, her art helps Alyson Howard get through the hards days life can throw at you, on the flip side, other days she can meditate and fully channel herself in to her paintings with a big smile on her face singing and dancing whilst she paints her art is my life. Alyson Howard draws inspirations from her vivid imagination juxtaposed with the natural world that surrounds her.

When Alyson Howard is near the sea she is happy. She has always been drawn to the ocean, it as always had a massive impact on her life. With its hypnotic effect, it calms Alyson Howard down and takes her into a mediative state. The expression, the freedom, the power, the ocean. Alyson Howard's collection Wild and Free are expressions of her love for the sea.

She would consider myself to be a bit of a free spirit. Alyson Howard loves the feeling of freedom and always try to seek it throughout her life. Birds are symbols of freedom flying high on the winds. Her Free Spirit explores my favourite birds their splendour and beauty.

Alyson Howard has always painted to her favourite music, and music influences her paintings. My Awakenings collection are my explorational journeys through sound, exploring synesthesia and painting subconsciously.

Alyson Howard's flowerscapes are influenced by my passion for India, the chaos, the colours, and textures. She uses metallic paints in her work to help create a bit of drama and movement, changing with the natural light of the day. Her latest collections feature seascapes and abstract landscapes, exploring movement, freedom, and serenity.
