Richard Orr

Richard Orr is an artist of intemational renown, he has a deep love of the natural world over the years has become one of Britain's foremost natural history artists. Richard has won equal success both sides of the Atlantic with regular commissions from America's National and International Wildlife Federation as well as the Smithsonian Institute.

Having been a supporter of conservation projects he has regularly sold his prints through the Born Free Foundation, World Wide Fund for Nature and many charitable causes. Richard has also created works for The London Zoological Society, the Noorderan Zoo Consortium, Drusillas Zoo Park, he also has work on permanent display in The Natural History Museum London and The Racehorse Museum Newmarket. His colourful work appeals to conservationists and animal lovers alike.

In addition to hundreds of original paintings which Richard has created under commission to private individuals and conservation groups he has exhibited his work at the King Street Gallery, Carlton House Gallery, The Pompidou Centre Paris, The Picture Craft Gallery Holt, The Three Rose Gallery, The Art for all Gallery, Wildlife Gallery Lavenham, and others. Richard is a very versatile artist and has created collectable Sculpture and porcelain for Franklin Mint, Kaiser porcelain, The Hamilton Collection, and Danbury Mint.

He is very well known for creating and illustrating scores of artist led books, which have sold throughout the world and can still be found on line.

Richard Orr has appeared regularly on television and radio, as well as receiving invitations to lecture in schools and colleges.
