This 'observational process' allows Poppy and Sasha to deconstruct and map-out the profile of the subject prior to starting each piece. They look for distinctive features across the animals and search for elements of character and charm to inspire the work.
Through this comprehensive study, they construct a hyperrealistic portrait by hand-drawing each digital mosaic tile until the final result is achieved. "
