Nigel Humphries

Nigel Humphries paints the toys, sweets and heroes we grew up with, and he does it with the seriousness of an old-master still life. Each oil painting is built around tiny figures posed in lit, staged scenes, with a lot of character in every expression and a good deal of humour in the details. The result is art that gets a smile from the first glance and keeps rewarding a closer look.
